Jacking points and spare tire re-use
I have questions about the following:
1. Does the jack provided have the ability to lift the car, and can the jacking alarm be disabled? The car makes a loud alarm sound when jacked up.
2. The inflatable spare tire - can it be used more than once? And once deflated, will it fit back in the compartment below the rear storage space?
Thank you! Love the car, but after 2000 miles, we have a flat.

My guess is that you have the car locked while you are jacking. Unlock and all should be good.
Spare can be reused. Haven't had to, but it should fit back in its place. Sounds like a pain to get all the air out and in place, but that is the design.

You need the car unlocked otherwise you get the alarm. Best bet is to unlock, open and close a door. Otherwise it will relock, and the alarm will go off. This is by no means words of experience.

i just went through putting the spare on... on my way to pick up a date. when i got to her house. she acted like i did it on purpose so i would have to stay at her house or something. it was kind of funny. regardless:
1. Does the jack provided have the ability to lift the car, and can the jacking alarm be disabled?
Yes, easily. And yes. As mentioned above, you just need to keep the car unlocked and the alarm will not go off.
2. The inflatable spare tire - can it be used more than once? And once deflated, will it fit back in the compartment below the rear storage space?
Yes. Yes. I took my car to a local tire shop the next day and they very easily deflated the spare and put it back in its place. And a huge bonus - i just assume everything on this car will cost a billion dollars - but to patch the tire, rebalance, re-inflate, mount, and put the spare back perfectly cost me $15.
youve prob changed the tire out by now, but for others reading this - one other tip - i didn't have my owner's manual with me when i was putting the spare on. and i searched the interwebs for a good 15 minutes and came up with nothing... there are caps on the lugs that have to be removed with a special plastic tool (looks like tweezers) that was in my little security-lug box. gotta do that before you can wrench on the lugs.
