Just ordered my wife a Q5. Curious what are people using for a smart phone holder with this vehicle?

She uses a Galaxy S7.

Thanks, used one of those vent clip things on my S4, bent the vent a bit so wasn't a huge fan. Will see how Android Audi works, maybe she won't need it as suggested above.

Like others, I keep my iPhone in the center tray —my dealer threw in a free USB-Lightning cable that’s rather nice (coiled and 90deg bend allows iPhoneX to fit perfectly in tray). Then I just use CarPlay and don’t need to access the phone; the phone’s screen is smaller than the Q5 center display anyway. Siri button on the steering wheel makes dialing phone or sending texts while driving very simple.

I do wish CarPlay maps would display on the cockpit screen, however.

I’m not sure why anyone would put it elsewhere, there’s a slot in the center console to the right of the shifter that is perfect for phones.

Also worth noting, with a case on my iPhone X fits in the holder - if you have a thick case it may not, but this is mine.

iPhones Plus does not fit there... are too tall to slot width...
