Update your Nav to 2018 maps
#21
Honest question. Are yall really using the built in maps often? Using my phone is so much faster and easier, Ive never really used the nav on any car ive owned. Sometimes on long trips i like to have it so it will show up in the HUD but I always have waze going on the phone anyway.Ill probably do the update just because but Im surprised to hear that people actually use the built in nav much.

mobile data in Canada is horrible.
so yes, if the car has the feature.... it's a lot cheaper to use it, than mobile data.
my plan only offers 1gb a month and top ups are way too overpriced.

I’m having trouble getting my SQ5 to see the files on my SD card. I have tried both ports and each say “not available” when I try to select the card in the System Update menu.
I have ave another card formatted the exact same way for my music library and it’s working perfectly.
Ant ideas on what could be wrong?

When you look at the contents of the SD card with your computer you should see two folders - one folder is named Mib1 and the other is named Mib2. There should also be two stand-alone files on the card - one file has a .md5 extension and the other has a .txt extension. Let us know what you find.

^ Rebel50mm, note that the SD card you're using for the update should only contain the files associated with the Nav update, with no other files on board. The capacity of the card should be at least 16 GB.

Thanks rbreeze, I was missing the standalone files. Problem solved.

Currently, I'm only using the built-in maps... and I think these maps are extraordinarily good (or certainly better than a previous car). A good 3D effect and detail.

Navi in the German language for North America
Does anyone know if it is possible to get German as a language choice for my MMI Navigation system in the 2018 A3 etron? (It appears to only have English, Spanish and French)

How can we check if the maps are updated or what version of map update you have?
Took delivery in March 2018 and was wondering if the maps we're already updated prior to delivery.
