Lane assist fault, scanned got a 16365 Control Module Electrical Error CPU2
Anyone else have an issue with their lane assist?
I tried to clear the code and it came back right away.
Anything to check?
Does anyone know the exact location of the module?

Page 51 will help you, the side assist sensors tend to be very sensitive, maybe give it a good wash.

I have the same problem...saw in a few forums that the control module behind the bumper is dead. I found a used replacement on ebay for like $130 shipped from Germany. List price is roughly $700. I going to diy the replacement and ask the dealer to calibrate. I'll keep you posted if I fix it.

CPU2 is on the driver side which everyone knows we have two LH/RH. in the attachment it is #19 LH side or driver side rear bumper like B490MTL, and jflow45 said.
As a old Aviation tech when troubleshooting this is a good example for swapping. if it is the drive side CPU2, need take a know good one which the other CPU on the rightside and swap it with the LH clear the codes and see it the code will go to the other side. If it does then we know which one.
the connector are the same as in the attachment, but it will be in a different shape for LH/RH for mounting. It is for troubleshooting only.
Like jflow45 said Audi has to recal the CPU which this is in your alignment computer program set up.

hope this helps a little.

I have the same failure, and if I ever get to swapping the module with a used one, I will likely not get it calibrated. Note that this thread is talking about "Audi side assist". "Audi lane assist" is the feature that vibrates the steering wheel upon lane departure, its module located at the top of the rear view mirror. When my lane assist module died, I made sure the replacement I got was from a Q7, and it's working fine without recalibration. I'm hoping the same will be true for a side assist module from a same generation Q7. If not, the feature isn't worth to me what the calibration would cost.
