Default Anyone in NJ area selling willing to trade q7 tail lights

I'm looking for the regular ones as my new to me q7 as of 20 days just had a freak incident. Heard a noise in the garage while I was in here googling how to replace the taillight bulb. Thought nothing of it.. Went into garage to replace bulb and saw the ladder had fallen off the wall. Noticed a quarter size hole in the side of the tail light which had the burned bulb from where the ladder had fallen! Really ticks me off because she's perfect other than that!

What are the chances?

Oh well, if anyone has upgraded to facelifts/clears and wants to sell or trade for a 2011 MMI nav dvd cp. please PM me.

Thanks for reading my rant!

What year do you have? They have the 07-09 style lights on Ebay for as low as $79 each...

I've got an 07 and unfortunately the ones on ebay are either the driver side or the bumper lights.

There's a pair in tx w/o a photo so don't yet know if those are the bumper or qp lights.

Yeah, I lucked out! ECS Tuning had one with a small 2mm chip in the corner for $19 bucks plus shipping! Beats a quarter size hole!

beware that they are kind of a PITA to change - you have to undress the whole lift gate interior trim to get at the last nut holding them in. Hope you are in a warm garage too - sub-freezing temps are the worst when dealing with all that brittle interior stuff.

I'm hoping they are easier than the front suspension pinch bolts on my old a6 4.2, now that was a pitA! I had replaced both front axles under jack stands and those were a breeze by comparison. I'm thinking that as long as I'm not hammering self welded parts and jumping on 8 foot breaker bars I should be OK but one never knows.

I'm assuming that it's just taking a lot of parts off and mucho tedium? Anyone know if there are any write-ups on the subject?
