Brake Lie
I can't get over how many people are complaining about brakes with these cars?
You might no believe me but I have a 2003 Yukon (daily driver) with 107,000 miles and I am on the original brakes! Original rotors and pads.
I just had them looked at and was told easily 30-40% left....
This car is fairly heavy, stops well in my opinion and I have never had any dust issues.
I just don't understand why all the issues with the q7 brakes?
No issues with brakes just complaints about dust or noise (vibrations screech in hot climates). The brakes are not designed to last they are designed to stop you!
You will see soon enough, enjoy your new car and please tell us about it when it comes. You must be getting the new version 3.0 TDI.
I've driven a new Denali, and we own a Q7 ... and while we complained about spending $800 on new brakes (could've saved $220 if I'd done them myself) the Q7 stops a lot better at speed than the Denali did.
I think what chews them up is american driving of constant low-ish speed stops at each stop light.
