Exterior/Interior protection

Exterior/Interior protection
I recently purchased a 2013 Q7 TDI. The dealer highly recommended Xhilon treatment to protect the exterior and interior of the car.
I am new to this, and did a little bit of research. Most people believe that this treatment is not worth the money, except perhaps for the 5 year warranty you get on the surfaces protected. And some of them swear by the product, provided it is applied correctly.
Just wondering what people on this forum normally do. Any suggestions?

You are essentially paying the dealer for a warranty
And if you are looking to just preserve the exterior, then rejex (wax used on aircraft) will do the same job for a fraction of the cost...although you have to apply it yourself.

My brother in law just purchased a Nissan Juke and paid for the Xzilon treatment. The warranty is what you are buying as they will cover any door dings or interior tears for 5 years. Pretty good deal if you park where you get dinged often. I went on EBay and purchased the interior "Mink Oil" for $15. I think it does a nice job on the leather. Certainly worth the $15. I didn't buy the exterior product as I don't care for sealants, but it looks pretty good on his car.
