How to change OEM HID bulb for 2010+ (with LED DRL)?
I've looked but can't come up with anything solid. One post said I have to take out the bumper???
Can someone tell me how to change our HID light bulbs? Also, is it D1S? I will stay with Osram or Philips... I've heard horror stories on the cheap Ebay bulbs. Thanks in advance!

You don't need to remove the bumper - but you do need to remove the entire headlight assembly. It is fairly straight forward but I recommend you watch the youtube videos of the step-by-step process. Read my post from a few weeks ago as the process is the same. I changed both bulbs for the first time and it took me just over an hour (15 minutes to watch the videos, 35 minutes for the first (left) side, and 10 minutes for the second (right) side). Having dealt with the learning curve, a second car would have taken about 20 minutes...
The dealership will charge you about $300 for the bulbs and probably a couple hundred bucks for labor.
Your Q7 requires a D3S bulb which you should be able to get good quality for about $200/pair.
