Default Rear tires wearing faster than front tires.

Is anyone having the same problem? After only 5k miles under normal driving on a new set of Toyo Proxes STII I’m noticing that the rear tires are wearing much faster than the front tires. I’m carrying normal loads and they’re inflated to normal load specs. They’re wearing evenly, though. There is no noticeable wear on the front tires.

Interesting - probably should rotate then every 5K miles at a minimum. I would boost rear pressures up 2 psi.

If I could only get to 5k! LOL! This was a brand new set of Toyos. The front is pristine but the rears look like they went through 50k miles.

I think that's just plain odd bearing in mind its all 4 wheels driven and the turn wheels are the ones that aren't wearing.

I'm running 295/35/21's on my 2010 at 44 PSI front/49 PSI rear (my owners manual 'recommends' full load pressures) and mine are exhibiting noticeable 'scrubbing' on the front (edges predominantly) whilst the backs still look like new (1250 miles so far).

you might have an alignment issue or something. although my rears seems to wear a bit faster, the difference is minor.

I just cross rotated my 275/45R20 Goodyear Eagle LS2 tires at 4,200 miles in advance of 7,000 mile trip.

I saw no discernible wear or differences from front to rear. I've been running at 40 psig with very light loading, except for the large driver.

Same. After some premature wear on first set - Running Goodyear LS2 19" at 41psi all around and seem to be wearing fine. Actually my fronts wore faster on the new set faster than the rear. (Mostly around town driveway, little highway)

Please help advise me... my Quattro just wore through rear tires. I put all 4 new tires on. They have a 45,000 mile warranty. Rim 17 in. New alignment. I"m almost afraid to call the Tire Place. Is it the car? This is the 2nd set of tires wore out while normal driving conditions. The rear tires are bald. I went in to rotate and no tech will touch them. They tell me they are too dangerous to drive on and will not rotate them to the front.
