2017 Audi Q7 Prestige - Third Row Seat Issue - PLEASE Help
So my wife went to raise the 3rd row this morning, and the third row raised 1/2 way and stopped. All the lights are blinking on the switches, and there is a dash light indicator on. It reads: "Please move third seat row to its end position. See owners manual"
Cycled the key on and off. and still nothing.

Did you try to move them one direction or the other. The term "end position" leads me to believe the motor may have a sensor or clutch that monitors resistance and now instead of risking burning out the motor, it is asking you to move the seat back to home position. Next stop dealership if this doesnt work.

3rd row Malfunction

I was able to disconnect the battery for 30 seconds, Peirce receipt button down until all the power was completely drained, Reconnect the battery and the seats went down after I held the button down for 30 seconds. The third row seats work like they are intended to now. I hope this helps.

I know this is an old thread......had the same issue this morning. 3rd row seats were partially blocked by the second row when I tried to open them in a rush. They faulted out and stopped 1/2 way up. Typically, I just move the second row out of the way and start over, but this time the 3rd row wouldn't respond.
Drove around a bit until I had time to address the issue. Same error as the original post in the instrument panel. None of the key cycles fixed the issue.
Got home and pulled out VagCom. Found the rear seat module and checked for DTCs. None shown. I clicked clear anyway. This didn't fix it. Then went into the advanced tab (I think) and found the buttons to test. Tested both seat back motors which moved the seats up/down slightly. I'm guessing this cleared the over current protection. The seats started behaving normally after that.
This doesn't help if you don't have VagCom, but if you do, this keeps you from having to pull the battery cable.
