I have an appointment next week for my 2017 Q7 to apply the TSB. Unfortunately, I won't know if it works until it gets cold again.

Two 2018 Q7 Prestiges and so far no noise whatsoever. If anything, these brakes are better that my two 2015 X5s at stopping a heavier vehicle.

This is my exact problem: it requires cold, wet weather for mine to squeal. Two weeks ago I had my car in for its two year service and told them about the brakes. Of course, it was hot out and they cannot replicate the problem. Like I'm somehow making it up. The SA said it's a normal characteristic of these types of brakes. Total BS.

Default ITS THE SHIM GUYS

My service advisor explained that the shim behind the brake pads are the problem and audi finally figured it out. there's a tsb thats out. they fixed last week so far so good!

It's good to hear that this fix seems to work based on the feedback of the people that have had it done so far..

I was told by my service contact that Audi has issued a fix but he had no idea when it would be available. This was after I had complained a few months back and was told that "all performance cars have brakes that squeak."

I also complained that CarPlay was not accessible if I put the car in reverse and was told that it was an Apple problem.

I'm heading back to the shop in a few weeks b/c I have a leak near the top of the rear windshield. Maybe that is just a feature!
