When you say "works", do you mean that they fit, or that they do a good job to reduce sag?

I've been reading that the 60905 kit is the recommended one to go with.

Default Details soon on the 60905

As I mentioned in the past, I had to cut out my 60904 (3.5"x7.75") last year, when I brought the Q7 in for warranty work (replaced center diff). So instead of buying another 60904 kit I opted for 60905 which is longer (3.5"x9.5").

I should get that kit tomorrow and install on Thursday.

The reason I went with the 60905 this time is because I felt I could have had better results (i.e., less sag) with the 60904.. Here were the numbers with the 60904

Hitch Weight: 400lbs
Unloaded Ride Height (baseline): 33 1/4"
Loaded Ride Height without inflated bags: 1 5/16" sag
Loaded Ride Height with 35lbs in the bags: 7/8" sag (7/16" improvement)

I will remeasure and share with 60905.

I'm hoping (optimistically) that I'll get my full ride height back.

Waiting with bated breath as they say. These kits are a bit pricey up here in the great white north, so I'd love to know what will work the best.

I was always semi-impressed with the sag reduction on the kits that I had for the Explorers & Aviator I had prior. The installation instructions interestingly note the following:

"Even though it may be perceived that the air spring cylinders work by pushing up and down on the upper and lower spring seats (they also do this), the “lifting or supporting” of the vehicle actually comes from the air spring cylinders, being inflated, slightly bulging in between the coil springs and “pushing or spreading” them thus helping support the vehicle’s sprung weight (Fig. 3). With this in mind, it is not necessary to fit the inside diameter of the steel spring exactly, and it is recommended that the air spring cylinder be a little undersized. Do not put an air spring cylinder with a larger outside diameter in a smaller ID coil spring. This will likely cause the early failure of the air spring cylinder."

So it sounds like girth is more important than length......or so I've been told LOL.

I ordered mine from Lowriders.ca (I'm in Ontario) and the kit was $158. I also add the Tee (push to connect) so that both bags are connected to one line. See photo of installation of the valve, nice clean location just replacing one screw in the 7pin connector bracket.

Good price! As soon as you confirm fitment, I'll be ordering too. The location of the valve is great! Doesn't the kit come with the "T"? The 3 others I installed all did, so that I could do the single valve setup.

In my shopping cart ready to pull the trigger. 60905 seems to be the new go to kit. I was surprised my Prestige model didn't have the AS already equipped when having the factory tow package. Doesn't have a tow mode or any other tow options.

Any updates? Where in Ontario are you? I'm in London.

Got my boat out of storage yesterday. First time towing with my (new to me) 2018 Q7. No air suspension, and I was actually quite impressed with the amount of sag compared to my Aviator. I'd still like the airbags for piece of mind, especially when I load the car with passengers and gear. I measured my tongue weight at around 450lbs.

I'd like to know if the 60905 kit is confirmed to fit as I'd like to place the order ASAP. Anyone?

Hey gang, sorry for the delay!

I got the 60905 kit installed and here are the numbers after I loaded my trailer to 700lbs on the tongue. I wanted to see what my worst case scenario was. Full propane, extra stuffs in the trailer etc, water tank full. I would normally never run like this, I run 450lbs on the tongue.

Measurements taken from bottom of hitch to pavement. On level ground.

Trailer tongue weight: 700lbs
Ride height: 14.25" (bottom of hitch to ground)

1) Hitched trailer, air bags installed but NOT inflated: ride height dropped to 12.25" or 2" sag
2) Unhitched trailer
3) Inflated bags to 35lbs without trailer hitched: Ride height increased to 14.75" (in other words, fully inflated bags increased my ride height by 0.5")
4) Hitched trailer with inflated air bags: ride height dropped to 12.75" Or 2" of sag! But my ride height from stock dropped 1.5"

I need to run these numbers with a lighter tongue weight to compare the 60905 to the 60904. I am planning to head out with the trailer at a normal weight of 450lbs on tongue later this month and feel it should be fine.

Basically I'm not sure there is a marked improvement.

Thanks for the update. All things considered, which kit do you recommend? Do both kits come with the spacers? Any difference in the installation? I'd like to put the order in ASAP.
