It needs 2 cars to park between and it only scans on the right, unless you put on your left turn signal. You also need to be pretty close to the other cars, so for perpendicular parking on the left, you are on the wrong side of the road. The system is best for parallel parking.

This **** seems like a lot of work, when one can just park it themselves. I can somewhat understand parallel parking help (for the wives and kids), but pulling into a mall parking spot too!!! C'mon, people!

Mine works perfectly and pretty much works like other brands I’ve owned. Even into super tight spots. It works better than Mercedes. Plus it has additional parking types or classification that other brands do not have. If it’s ‘hard’ then something may be wrong on yours,

You need to have your turn signal on in the direction that you are searching for spots.

On the Mercs it's awesome 👌. Funny it picks up itself. But then it works its magic. Didn't know Audi had it available in US.

It is very finicky I have same issues. Make sure your turn signal is on when you do park assist.
