3rd set of wipers....
Trying to figure out if we just got a bad batch or what... but I'm about to replace my drivers side wiper AGAIN. Wipers car came with were great fro two months and then started leaving a nasty smear right in the drivers line of vision. Had the dealer replace wipers (they did it as a courtesy as was in for other warranty issues...) and it fixed the issue. Unfortunately the smear is back again! Anyone else had this issue too? Any suggestions on brands of wipers to use- wondering if the dealer just has bad inventory? Thanks!

Have you tried cleaning the edge of the wiper? When the wipers in my car leave a smear, I take a piece of cloth and run it against the edge of the wiper blade. There is gunk caught along that edge that is causing the smear. If the wiper is no good, the edge would feel jagged. It should be smooth and straight.

I doubt it's any problem with the wipers given you're on your 3rd try, but a film or some form of contamination on your glass. Normal glass cleaner wont do the trick.
Try this product as I've had great results with it:

I'd also recommend a quality glass coating (not rain-x) once you clean and prep the windscreen. I've used AquaPel with excellent results.

Thanks- I just don't understand why it gets better when I change the wipers and then comes back? It seems so strange that it's always in the exact same spot too.

Perhaps the design of the arm is flawed, or maybe just your wiper arm. Almost seems like the arm may be off (bent) a bit, which causes the rubber blade to bend as well over time and create a gap.
Ask Audi to change out the arm

Is there a way I'd be able to confirm this issue myself? If I take the blade off will it look arched? Unfortunately our nearest dealer is a good 90 minute drive away so want to be confident that it's something the dealer is going to have to fix.

Besides a visual inspection, likely not, but you may be able to see something. Just ask the dealer to replace it under warranty to see if it will fix it. Cheap easy swap for them
