Default Buyback or trade-in values

Hello,
Anyone has any idea on buyback or trade-in values would be for the 2017 Q7? I only have 1500 miles on it with Prestige package. Thanks!

It depends on the dealership. You will lose, at best, 15% and as much as 30% based on my recent experience.

I'm replacing my early build 2017 Q7 with a new one and picking it up today. For reference, the MSRP on my Prestige was $67075 (Prestige, Cold Weather, Towing); I got it for $63,892 (4% off plus $500 Audi loyalty). Trade in value was $57,100. Am getting a Prestige with Cold Weather and Driver Assist and Towing at a 6% off MSRP discount. I have about 7,800 miles on the current Q7.

It's a good deal considering the circumstances but also it's an end of month deal heading into the holiday and winter season in the Northeast.

I have to ask why you guys have or want to dispose of an almost new Q7? Even a $5K hit seems painful.

it is painful, but sometimes got to take the medicine.

Fair question. To me, it's not all about the economics of the decision. I made a mistake in my initial order. After seeing what it really was, I wanted something that had the Driver's Assist package. I'm not sure Audi did a great job explaining what was and was not included in Driver's Assist from a safety standpoint. Even now, I get conflicting information, but I know I'm getting everything I want with that package.

Economically, even though there was going to be a hit, I was trying to find a balance between inventory beginning to remain on dealers' lots (for months virtually all of these vehicles had been pre-sold), timing (end of month/end of year), and projected value of a trade 6 months from now. If you look at the spreads between new and the few pre-owned 2017 Q7s out there, the certified pre-owned (with clean carfax) generally are at 90%+ of MSRP. That's helpful in negotiating the value of the trade as a data point.

Is there a buyback program being offered for 2017 Q7's affected by the new transmission software cheat that applies to 3.0L gas engine models?

I did the same thing. The hit was 5K. Since mine was a misunderstanding on the dealers end, they ate it. I drove the P+for 3 months and traded even when my Prestige came in. It was very stressful on my end. I was so scared they wouldn't honor the deal we made when I took the P+. But, they did. I was so appreciate of that fact. So, my hubby went back to them and bought an A3. They gave us a really good deal on that as well.

No. Last I heard the case was dropped or resolved.
