Mind did. After a two-week road trip that put 2,500 miles on my 2019 Q7, the indicators said the oil level was no longer full. Took it to the dealership just to get their opinion and they promptly added about 2 pints of oil at no charge to put it back to 100%. Those 2,500 miles were mostly 65-70mph miles too and didn't surprise me much that some oil was burned. Total miles at that point was about 6,300...

Wow, you have 6,300 miles already on your 2019 Q7, I have a 2018 and still cannot touch 2,000 miles yet plus performed first oil change already. Keep on rolling.

Not sure when you bought your 2018, but my 2019 will be 6 months old next week!

We had the message first come up after crossing 8000 miles and the second one came in a couple days ago 12000 miles, both times the dealer topped it off for free, This is our first Audi and and wondering if this is common.

Maybe I am spoiled by luck, but in 20+ years of car ownership I haven't had an oil burner (and I drove a few terrible GM and Ford products, and will not drive another - but none burned oil). So far, I haven't had to add any to the Q7 but have to agree with CR take that it's not OK to "normalize" excessive oil consumption in this day and age in a brand-new engine. It will not be a deal breaker going forward, but will certainly be a factor when I will be choosing my next car to replace the Q7.

I have never added oil in any past or current BMW or Mercedes, but randomly checked the Q7 oil last week only because I came across that screen and the graphic displayed 1 notch above the minimum level... I stopped and added a quart of Castrol myself and it took the level to normal. The next day the oil service light came on, so Audi service would have taken care of it within the next 1000 miles. After reading this and watching that video mattwhit posted I feel OK, although adding oil could become a bit inconvenient at times.

Default No oil burn for me

I just popped over the 20,000 mile mark (time for service)... I serviced it at 10,000 and had oil replaced. Time to do it again. Never added oil between service.

I never add oil between service either for my 2017 Q7. How do you know your Q7 need oil? is it automatic pop up warning or you manually check it?

Also I set COMFORT mode 95% when i drive. I am not sure if transmission mode select will cause the different. What mode are you setting for your Q7

I added 1 QT in the first 10K miles. That is normal. I only keep the suspension in comfort.
