Default got my q7 prestige. question regarding distance red lights.

Hi
finally got the q7 over last weekend.
love driving it. didnt drive it today.. new car and raining bad .. hahahaha.. will take some time.

anyways, i have driver assist package.
drove on highway, works really well.
the trouble is city driving. not on cruise control or even lane assist, i have shut them off, but while driving, the red distance control pops up every so often. checked the manual, states that the distance between the cars is not sufficient enough or something like that and need manual braking.
did anyone else come up with this problem.
thanks

Our A3 doesn't have driver assist.
Looking in your MMI setup our Jeep has driver assist and the it's very adjustable.

your Q7 is trying to teach you to stop tailgating

You can adjust the distance from 0.6 sec. to 3.0 sec. It is in the page 115 of the user manual. Personally, I found something around 1.0-1.2 is sufficient.

Under the driver assist menu in the MMI you can adjust or shut off the distance warning.

It's the one feature I shut off on mine. In LA traffic, even at the lowest setting was annoying having that warning pop up all the time.
