I just completed a trip requiring two full days of driving and got similar mileage on the computer. For 2 tanks of gas, I manually computed the mpg, and found the computer shows almost 2 mpg over actual mpg and I was using adaptive cc for the majority of the drives. I find it's just a good estimator.

I've always found the computer to be high, but consistent in terms of providing data to enable relative comparisons if not actual results.

Having said that, I can only wonder if the inflated MPGs that seem to be consistent across the Audi brand are determined using the same algorithm that was used for diesel emissions.

If I were an automaker I surely would err on the side of more optimistic. I can't blame them too much. 2 mpg off isn't terribly much considering that the amount of gas in the tank has to be estimated at the beginning and the end.

outstanding results....My average after about 2500 miles is 21.1 on the dash and 20 when calculating manually...I would say I am 50 % Hwy and 50% city.

I think it looks bad compared to other integrated seat back monitors.
