I just got a Q7 a few days ago for the purpose of towing a trailer. We don't have a trailer yet, but we are looking. There is a large Airstream dealer nearby and we checked those out. I really liked them, but I'm not sure I could justify the price.

Did you have trouble finding the converter cable for the REDARC Tow Pro Elite controller? I'm thinking about the one Audi sells just because they say it plugs right in, but where to mount it may be a challenge.

I found a cable on eBay that I modified for the REDARC. The jury is still out on that controller though. So far, it is very touchy in adjustment...
I’ll report back after we get home from a 200 mile trip this weekend...

We tow an Airstream 22; weighs 4000 on the road. Have air suspension and don't use WDH. Works great. 22 is only current Airstream less than 8ft wide, its 7-3+ and we like it because we're sometimes on pretty narrow roads. We've put on about 12000 miles with this combo.

I’m going to head up to Can-Am in September. I’ll let Andy do his thing...
The car tows our 16’ Bambi really nicely. I think I will sell the Hensley and go for a simpler hitch set up though.
After 10 years of driving a pick up, I am blown away by this Q7...
‘I hadn’t realized just how far these vehicles have come.
By the way, our Bambi weighs in at about 4000 pounds fully loaded!

Hensley’s are nice but they are no ProPride... ;-)

Towed a 25 Classic behind a diesel Touareg with a ProPride, was infamous back in the day for my post on the Cayenne & Touareg wiring harness instructions for use with brake controllers (towed motorcycle trailer with first gen Cayenne S).

Those were some heady times - check out some of my stuff over on the Airstream forums... 😉
