Default New owner questions

I just picked up a 2017 Q7 from Fairfield Audi in Fairfield, CT. Overall, I had a great experience with the sales process. I got $1,500 off and a free roof rack. I probably could have done better but I'm happy.

A couple of quick questions of items that differ from my 2011 Q5:

1) I have the three zone climate control. How do you Sync the driver and passenger side temps? In the old Q5 it was just a matter of pushing in and holding the drivers climate ****. That doesn't work on the Q7. Thoughts?

2) When pulling into the garage or into a parking space with a wall or other obstruction in front of the car, the parking sensors don't automatically turn on. This did work in the old Q5. Can this be enabled in the Q7?

Thanks guys.

Believe all of that is covered in the owners manual.

I had a 2010 Q5 and currently a 2014 SQ5, and the parking sensors did not come on automatically on either car unless you put it in reverse or if you manually press the park assist button. This works the same exact way in the new Q7 or any Audis I've ever owned that had park assist. So I'm not sure how your '11 Q5 was able to have this capability. Only thing I can think of is if you were the 2nd owner of the Q5, and perhaps the previous owner somehow enabled it via VCDS software. Otherwise, I know of no recent Audi park assist system in US-spec that automatically turns on park assist unless you engage reverse.

Anyhow congrats on the new ride. Enjoy!

Looks like it's only in the 4-zone climate control. See here:
