US models lacks series of additional sensors. So even if you enable it, it will not work at all, or will not work properly.

This is tragic. I would love to know why it was not approved. If in 2018 they cannot have automatic parking approved - things that Ford cars have done for years, then it is hard to believe the 2019 A8 will be self-driving. This is not a comment on the cars so much as their relationship with regulators.

Ask this to your "congressmen".
As far as I know, on early 2019 A8 models self-driving feature also in Europe will be disabled because of missing regulation/legislation in EU...

Given the crappy LED headlights w/o matrix, and lack of self parking features in the Q7, I'd venture to guess Audi has poor relationship with US regulators. And Dieselgate as likely made it worse and distracted them from getting others features through regulators...

I see the Trailer Assist shows on the Audi Website. And this is the North American site.

i just took delivery of a Q7 to pull a travel trailer. I’ll be disappointed if this doesn’t work.

Hi Andyhud,
Since you have trailer assist, do you have park assist automatically or that is a different option must be orederd separate from trailer assist?
I have a friend with working trailer assist, she tought her car would also have park assist, but the service says that one is a separate option should have been ordered to get it working, which I doubt, since there is the button, it should work, instead she gets error message if no trailer is attached...
What do you think about that? Is this a missing feature of a malfunction?

It simply bewilders me why Audi would drop so many promised Q7 assist features that are available ROW except NA! Its even more painfully ridiculous considering that other brands offers some of these features!
To me, the most noticeable missing features are -

1. Park assist
2. Maneuver assist
3. Trailer assist
