I attended an intro event of the Q7 at the AoA HQ in NoVA this summer sponsored by the Audi Club. The NA product manager was there to introduce the vehicle. They had European S-Line versions on hand for the intro. When I asked him what the differences we would see between those and the US model, he specifically said there would be no S-Line for the US. He explained that he doesn't like the look of the S-Line and that some of the S-Line features are already available as options anyway, so he didn't see the need. I'm not saying I agreed with him, I'm just reporting what he said.

I expext this will be my next vehicle but not until fall 2017 when my GL 350 BluTec runs out of warranty. Hopefully the TDI will be selling stateside then.

Me too
Interesting, I'll be crossing the same waters... From GL350 to Q7 after warranty expires. Any particular reason for you to go with the Q7 and not continue with a GLS?

Sorry for butting in but I'm ready to trade my '10 GL350 for the Audi Q7 primarily for 3 reasons:
- the new Q7 is much lighter and with the TDI should get much better mpg
- I always liked the handling of the Q7 better than the GL350 but in 2010, the Q7 didn't have some of the features that the GL had. Q7 has now caught up with power folding 3rd row, ease of access to the third row, etc.
- Q7 has a more advanced set of electronics and features vs the new GLS, which is really just a mid-model refresh whereas the Q7 is an all new platform
