Actually, in previous 3G MMI Nav Plus Audis you can watch videos from an AMI cable, sim card or Jukebox while parked. (Is the new Q7 MMI not able to do this)? To enable VIM (Video in Motion) so vids play while the car is moving, the mod is made with Vag-Com, not the hidden menu screen. I assume this is also possible with the VCDS HEX-NET Mobile version as well.

Default Carista still doesn't work

I just downloaded a beta version Carista OBD2 3.0 (300011) and it says no available customizations are available for this vehicle. That was not the best investment I've ever made. $40 for the Carista adapter and $20 for the Pro Version of the app.

You have to reset the MMI...

There is no more green hidden menu in the MIB2 (2017 models) units. Everything is done via coding, adaptations or its coded in the eeprom.

what about the Ross-tech HEX+CAN cable. Is it support or just the NEW-NET
i have it for my 2016 Q5

once green screeen is enable

MENU + CAR to get in
CAR to exit

my HEX+CAN works mostly. I have been unable to complete the lane assist coding however, and have been told by people in this forum it's because of incompatibility. I ordered an OBDeleven to verify with, since it's so cheap.

OLD thread, but relevant still;

2018 Q7, I can confirm this, there seems to be no way in VCDS to activate the ole green menu, at least in 5F>Adaptation. Interesting.

One thing, there are A LOT more channels in the sub menu now;

Yes, in the 2018 Q7, true, 3 channels don't work, I'm using Hex+USB and VCDS 18.2.1
