So... 2nd Sept I get to Test Drive the MkII Q7
My stealership basically begged me to at least give it a chance after I told them how bloody terrible it looked. Theyknow my '08 has 230k km on her. I'll have it for a day and I'll report back.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Have been waiting a long time for the new XC90 and I am rather impressed so far (drove it a month ago), BUT putting the Q7 exterior design aside (I know it's tough) the driving dynamics on the XC90 weren't very good. Most reviews of the Q7 vs the XC90 indicate that the Audi is head and shoulders above the XC90 in a number of attributes. I'll need to wait and see the Q7 in the flesh

Guys sorry about that - I was called out of the country on work for almost two weeks and missed it. Really naughty of me to forget to come in here and tell you.
When I dropped by to cancel, I got to sit in it and fiddle with the technology. To be honest I felt like I was in the allroad mkII... it felt noticably smaller and very "wagon-like" in the showroom.
Hopefully driving it next month (it's booked up - lots of interest over here apparently).
