My initial thread was incomplete. Here’s what it should have said. I recently purchased a 2018 Audi Q5. Back home in Canada, I was successful in synchronizing my homelink to open my garage door. I’m now in Florida for several months and need to synchronize my homelink to open the gate at the entrance to the community I live in. I have been unsuccessful even after several attempts. I’m the only person here with that problem. I seem to have read somewhere that the fact that I have a su passé sticker in my front windshield could interfere with the process. Any suggestio?

You're probably better off asking in the Q5 forum, this is the Q7 forum.

I found that the instruction in the manual in both my Q5 and my Q7 did not program my Homelink.

I suspect there isn't, but is there a learn button on the gate? The only way I've successful in programming either is by pressing the learn button on the opening mechanism then pressing and holding the Homelink button.

As mentioned, post in the Q5 section in case there are some differences, but also, there is an edit function for posts. If you aren't happy with your post, you can edit it using that button rather than correction posts. And welcome to the forum. Hope you can get it sorted.

you shouldn't have any problem with the sunpass sticker because its just a sticker with a 2D barcode, if you have the mini transponder then you probably will have the problem.. but do ask the other q5 member in the specific Q5 thread..

I always have a problem programing the HomeLink. But if you get in position and call HomeLink, they are super helpful. Every time.
