these lease numbers are awful. numbers aren't that far off from financing and you don't have to worry about mileage.

Leasing is just a finance mechanism. You shouldn’t be negotiating on monthly rates. You negotiate by getting 7% off the MSRP, factor in any incentives you can get, then make sure you are being offered the best money factor (lease interest rate). Then the monthly rate will be as low as possible.

Most Americans negotiate monthly payment, and buy based on it (not suggesting anyone on this board is doing that). Its sad but true...

Ran numbers for Prestige with 7% off MSRP, sales tax rate of 7.5%, base mf (0.00186) and 58% residual (for 10k/yr). No cap reduction (aka down payment) but fees upfront, I get $922.06/mo.
Actual dmv/doc fee will be different.

Hey there Haris!
It's hyde from 'fest and 'post! I can't believe it's been 3 years. You were extremely helpful when I was negotiating the pricing on my last X5, and here you are helping people with their Q7.

Hey hyde! Any time buddy. Haha I had a feeling it was you based on your messages on Bimmerpost. I got your PM. Will look into it and get back to you tomorrow.

Hi there. Just catching up on the lingo used in the Audi world. Is the "base" money factor the lowest money factor available? Do MSD's lower it further? How much?

This was very helpful, really appreciate it. I just got quoted the following for a 2.0. How's it look to you?

MSRP: $64,930

Sale price: $58,930
Residual %: 63%
Money Factor: .00210
Sales Tax %: 7%
Term (in months): 36
Fees rolled in: $798 dealer fee, $795 bank acquisition fee, $236 e-title fee, (Tag was not included)
Base payment: $739
Payment + tax: $790

All based on a down payment of $2,500.
