Filter isn't hard to get to. Have to remove the airbox which is two clips on the front, then a hose clamp, and electrical connector and a couple vacuum lines. Takes just a few minutes once you've done it a few times.

You'll need a GIANT socket to get the filter housing off. I think it's a 36mm or something absurd like that. I'll check when I get home.
Thanks but no need. This is about 4 steps too many for me and my awful skills! I'll keep paying a few bucks to use my own oil at a shop near my office.

Whole process is 30min or so with an extractor.

I usually change it on weeknights after the kids are in bed and have a beer or two in the quiet garage.

FYI wife thinks it takes closer to 90min, and if anyone tells her any different I'm gonna be pissed

Super easy.

Get engine up to temp (oil flows better when warm). Park in garage (or flat space). Take tube from extractor and stick it down the oil dipstick tube (front right of my engine) and start pumping. My extractor has a valve for pumping in/out of the reservoir, so you can "suck" the oil out through the dipstick hole, then "pump" it back into the used containers for recycling later. Once it starts "gurgling" you know you've got as much as you can. remove hose, put dipstick back. refill car.

Red arrow below shows the tube going into engine
Blue circle is the pump handle

That make sense?

And I find access to the filter is really only 1 step. Remove the main engine cover — 2 silver spring-y clips on front of both sides of the cover, then pop up the front of the cover (takes a small tug on each front corner and then pull cover towards and lift out of the way. Takes 30 seconds. I think the filter is easy to access at that point once the cover is removed.

Cool! - but what if there's no dip stick - just use the oil fill opening?

SHould still have the dipstick tube I believe. Mine just had a plug where the dipstick goes. I replaced it with a dipstick, but the tube was already there.

which one did you get and did it measure the oil well?

I purchased 06E115611H and it was not even close from showing the oil level
