I decided to just go down to 20s since I hate the look of small wheels on a vehicle as big as the Q7 and where I am, we don't regularly get 4 foot blizzards & the roads get plowed fairly quickly - plus, those Blizzaks are pretty aggressive, much more so than your average "all season".
So the specs I listed are all okay for the Q7? What does Hub: 66.45 (57.1 as needed) mean? Do I have to tell them if I need 66.45 or 57.1?

Also, in your PM to me a while back, you said the offset was 33mm but this listing says 35. I thought this was the same exact wheel as yours?

Thanks, Cadx6.

I have always heard our center bore was 66.5 - so, close enough for government work. I'm not using any adapters with mine.
The listing I bought my wheels from said their offset was 33 but after seeing all these other listings from the same seller, I'm beginning to have my doubts. I can't see 2mm making that much difference though. We test fit one wheel at the tire store & there was plenty of caliper clearance. Again, maybe one of our wheel experts can confirm.

Sorry if this was covered before but for those of you who got full replacement tires. Are the pressure sensors(TPMS) required as well? Will the car freak out without them or do you also get tires with new sensors?

The majority of Audis don't use pressure sensors in the wheels. The system uses the abs system (?) to detect changes in wheel speed which loss of air pressure will cause.
Kind of nice not to have to spend all that money.

Default Going with 19s

After giving it a lot of (maybe too much!) thought, I have decided to get the 19s. If the smaller size makes even a little bit of (positive) difference, I think I'll want it.

Tires will be 255/55/19.

Still deciding on whether I want the wheels from Hartmann (ACH Tuning) or Ebay. Hartmann's website seems to suggest only their 20" option will work with the 4M Q7, but I'm going to call them and confirm.

This forum has been a great help, so whatever I end up doing, I'll be sure to report here.

Just got the 20" winter tire/wheels mounted from the dealer today. So far the ride is quiet compare to the 20" stock run flat tire. My Q7 is ready for winter.... Let it snow.

FYI... I used the OEM bolts that came with Q7 on the Hartmann wheels. The front fit without issue. For the rear wheels the dealer had to add a 5mm spacer since the bolts are a few mm too long.

Thanks much for the post & photos. Now I know what mine's going to look like with those wheels once it gets threatening enough to have to mount them.
Interesting about the rear lug bolts. - thanks for the heads up.

BlackCoco, Thanks for sharing. The wheels look great.

I had almost decided I was getting the 19" but I wanted Hartmann, and upon speaking with Skylar at Achtuning (Hartmann distributor in the US), learned that the only Hartmann that will fit (is load rated for the 4M Q7) is the 20". So I'm back to 20" now. Also learned that I'll need R13 bolts, the ones that are 30mm in length. I think he may have said the 27mm will also work. These are the ones I'm getting, R13 BALL SEAT (17MM HEX) NICKEL, 14MM 1.50 X 30MM

Did you use the Audi center caps from your summer (OEM) set, or buy those separately as well?

Also, I see you're staying with the OEM tire size for your winter set, 285/45/20. I'm considering going a bit narrower, either 275 or 265.

Question for you, and others (Cadx6, jalf, Larryv, etc.) - If you have a 20" wheel, can you use any 20" (meaning xxx/xx/20) tire with it? Of these Nokian options listed below, I'm trying to decide what to go with. Any thoughts are appreciated.

255/55R20 110 R XL
up to 106 mph, max load 2340 lb

265/45R20 108 R XL

No, you can't use any 20" tire. You have to ensure that the overall diameter of the new tires is within a couple of percent of the original size. This tire size calculator recommends within 3%, but the closer to OEM diameter the better.
