I want to take detailed pics of the endtanks and see if we can match it up to a stock Audi radiator with aluminum endtanks. The way the fins look at the top and bottom don't seem to jive with a cut radiator.

Default Well don't sweat it,

It looks to be very easily reproducible in every detail. I'm not sure its the split radiator as Sprongl says it is. It think its two specifically sized oil cooler cores that have been welded together with endtanks made from an audi radiator. The hard part was getting an original as a pattern.

Its in good shape with one exception. The two pins that protrude from the top into the bottom of the rear wing are gone. I'll have to weld on some new ones from aluminum rod. Other than that, its in great shape.

What I really need now is a close inspection of the dry sump system in the boot

Default Sweet. The pins should pose little problem for you.

Sure does look great all hooked up, I must admit. And given what you are trying to do with your car(as close to vintage as possible), it's a nice touch. I'm still ticked off about losing out, but really, I don't know if I'd be happy with 16 quart oil changes anyway. ;-)

yes, I think its more a point that the tall rear wing looks kinda silly without the oil cooler.
