Default Ronal 15x8 on 83 urq

I'm getting rubbing on the front fenders under cornering and would like to remedy the situation. I've STFA and found a little on this topic about rolling fenders. Is this the acceptable solution for fitment of the 15x8 with 225-50-15s on the early cars? Do the rear fenders need to be rolled as well?
Thanks!

Default Rolling fenders (F&R) is the factory solution, and the only long-term one.

There is a great story about how the UrQ should never have been able to mount 8" wheels and rubber, but someone successfully installed a set, which transformed the handling of the car.

The design team eventually realized the car wasn't being built exactly to the drawings, so even though they shouldn't have, the 8" Ronals did fit. A very small team changed the drawings to match the car (which is extraordinarily un-German) and added rolled fender lips so that they could offer the 8" wheels in production.

Default I have the wide ronals on my car and its an 83

The tires are BF Goodrich GForce Sport 215 50 15. They may have a bit of a pulled looked to the tire, but I have never had any rubbing issues as far as I can tell with the stock suspension. Someone else must have a similar setup on their car as well.....

Very interesting. Not only did it transform the handling, it gave the car a much more aggressive look on the 24 offset wheels.....unless they all don't have a 24 offset. Are my wheels the correct offset?

Funny, I have 225-50/15 Gforce Sports on the car. I wonder if they run a little wide and that could be some of the issue.

With 8" ronals on early cars they WILL rub on the rear with some loading (pass + luggage + full tank) and especially with lowering springs.
Front should not rub at all, the front fenders are identical front/back for early and late cars and there should be no issue unless the 225s are not really 225mm wide

Stock offset is 45 on the 6" Ronals and 7" Fuchs, 24 on the 8" Ronals.

Hope this helps.
