I wonder if that car belongs to anyone here? Very nice article. Anyways, I noticed the import numbers that Audi quoted:

Model year production US imports
1982: 285
1983: 240
1984: 64
1985: 73

Seems like they are confused about build date vs. model year between the 82's and the 83's.
