Don't know why I waited so long?
I've put this off long enough...
I feel obligated to submit this post, if for nothing more than to spread the word about the exceptional, customer driven, quality service I recently received over at 3ZERO3 MOTORSPORTS.
Big ups to Scott, Trevor, Aaron, and the rest of the crew at 3ZERO3 MOTORSPORTS!!! I am still speechless about the way my car now drives, sounds, handles, and feels. I don't know why I waited this long!
I have taken my car to a few other shops here in the metro area and never experienced such excellent service. These guys genuinely care about their customers' wants and needs.
Scott, one of the owners and performance parts specialist, was able to point me in the right direction in terms of what was best for me and my car based on my budget. After he personally performed a free inspection with my car on the rack and me close by to observe all that was to be discovered, we then discussed what was in my best interest regarding both maintenance and performance.
With my car being a daily driver and only mode of transportation, we decided to address some maintenance needs first and foremost as well as determine the most practical performance mods. Again, Scott made a point of making sure whatever they were going to do was in my best interest.
Aaron, the technician that performed the work on my car, went out of his way to take pics during the build to document some of the major upgrades. See link for pics.
So, what all did I have done?
- Right front upper and lower control arms
- EGT sensors, O2 sensor
- 0W-40 oil and OEM filter
- 034 Engine and trans mounts
- Autospeed DTS
- South Bend Stage 3 OFE clutch
- Dual mass flywheel
- APR Downpipes
- Apikol SMIC kit [THESE ARE AMAZING! Superior to AWE, hands down(43% larger!)] How Brendon over at Apikol engineered these monsters to fit the way they do, I do not know
- Right rear diff seal
- Hotchkis H-Sport front and rear sway bars
After transforming my car from timid daily driver to solid, responsive, canyon carving, melodic goddess of goodness, I was overdue for an emissions test to renew registration. The whole reason I started looking for a shop to have work done was due to faulty cats. After having the APR kit installed, along with everything else, I figured I was ready to "git `er done."
Long story short, emissions last week was a nightmare! Failed 1st time around on visual equipment inspection because some ignorant, hillbilly redneck on a power trip decided that my aftermarket cats weren't street legal--I wanted to break his "mirror on a stick." I then had to go to Colorado state emissions technical evaluation center where my car was put through a rigorous hour and a half evaluation to determine whether or not the cats met federal and state emissions regulations. Once I finally passed that, I then had to retest and failed again due to a faulty O2 sensor (more than twice the allowed NOx levels).
I took my car back to 3ZERO3 with all the emissions documents. They replaced my O2 sensor, cleaned my EVOMS air filter, and kept my car overnight. Scott then took my car to an emissions testing center close to the shop first thing in the morning, paid for the 3rd test ($25, added to my bill) and called that afternoon with the good news: IT PASSED!
I cannot believe the extent to which Scott and 3ZERO3 went above and beyond the call of duty and my expectations. Even if their shop is out of your way, it is without a doubt worth the service you will be provided!
I WILL BE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!<ul><li><a href="http://community.webshots.com/slideshow/570102359fxZFPg?mediaPosition=1">http://community.webshots.com/slideshow/570102359fxZFPg?mediaPosition=1</a</li></ul>

Are the ICs rebranded ER intercoolers, or did Apikol design and build their own?
They look to be the same size as the ERs. This is the first time I've heard of anyone using Apikol ICs on a B5S4.
