PSA: BMW Drive for a Cure is in Colorado this week
The BMW Drive for a Cure even will be in Loveland on Wednesday and Colorado Springs on Thursday (no stop in Denver this year for some reason.)
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the event, you show up, sign a waiver, and they hand you the keys to a shiny, new BMW along with a map. You drive the route (usually about 10 miles or so), and then they donate $1 to breast cancer research for every mile that you drive. There is no salesperson in the car with you, and no pressure at all to buy. The only requirement is that you have a valid driver's license, and you have to be 21 or older for most of the cars.
This year, in addition to the usual cars (everything from the Z4 and 128i to the 760i), they'll have an M3 and Alpina B7 for those who are 30 years or older. I had never heard of the Alpina B7, but apparently it's some kinda $115,000 7 series with a supercharged, 500 horsepower engine.
I'll be at the Loveland event pretty much all afternoon, so maybe I'll see some of you there.

You can order an Alpina via Ralph Schomp BMW. Alpina has a deal with BMW dealerships in the states. Been doing it for a few years now. However, I believe it is only for the 7 series and back in the day you could get a Z8 alpina edition. Pinstripes and all.
