Question for high altitude guys...
My buddy that has an RS6 just ran 0-60 in 5.7 at 6k feet, which seems way slow, or is it?
Assuming it will do 4.6 at sea level does this sound right? I was thinking it wouldn't be that much of a difference, maybe a 5.0-5.1.
Guess I'll have to time mine as well for a comparison.

Absolutely correct
I've posted this before. Linked below. Turbos have to work much harder at altitude than sea-level. RS6's are heavy by design as well, so suffer even more. Given a stock RS6 here, versus a stock RS6 at sea-level, that's absolutely normal.

No, actual, infact there are a few RS6's that will do it in just under 4.3 stock...

Now that I think about it, when I had my B6 S4 it did it in 5.9 up here, so...
5.7 seems like there is something wrong. .6 second decrease for a NA car vs. 1.1 sec on a turbo'd one does not add up, it should have a lesser effect with altitude.
I just need to se what mine does, maybe my friend has a boost leak.

You would be surprised at the weight of the RS6, motor included.
Makes a big difference. Plus, a stock RS6 is really only pushing those turbos at around 8-9psi, whereas there are people putting those turbos on B5 S4's and pushing 30psi on them.
Biggest problem with the RS6 is the transmission and the DRC. That transmission cannot hold any amount of decent power.
