Value Question
Can anyone help me on determining what a retail value would be on a 2001 A6 2.7t Auto with 93k on it and in need of a turbo swap. I have warrantied turbos (borg warner) but needs the install. Just had new front end parts and 93k tranny service. TB/H20 are about 5k old. Also new cam tensioners about 3k ago.
I can find KBB and such but I am not sure how to "value" a car needing a laborous job.
Brand new tires, BBS Wheels and interior is kept up well. Just checking out my options as I owe a lot more than this is worth now. May just be done with this and move back to brand new. Hope everyone is having a great Labor Day Weekend and enjoying their working Audis on this beautiful day.

Deduct the cost of the labor from the book value. Chances are a mechanic will probably buy it. Or you will get aemail from some gu who says he is a former mechanic and will do it out of his garage..blah blah blah.
Not a big market of consumers for a car needing major work unless they are a mechanic or ave the time and money to do it themselves.
If you still owe on the car it is probably better to just fix it again and drive it until it's paid off or until you know you can at least get what you owe for it.
If you sell it and still owe, you will have to pay it all off at the time of the sale to get the lien released so the new owner can get it titled and registered.
