Default Cool. Take your time with the bag. Aspen (the resort) looked good from the outside.

We did a hut trip, and didn't hit the resort.

Default Really

She turns 3 soon, last season was on plastic skis because ski boots aren't made small enough to fit her feet. This season she's able to get by with tiny ski boots.

Default In Salt Lake, you can rent a package for $350 through Utah Ski & Golf . . .

the package covers kids through 140 size skis. The package cover skis and boots, and you can change sizes as often as you wish. I started my son (now 3) on 80s last winter. He is still on the same size, but I'm sure by next season I will need to change. I figure that with one change in size I will make up the package price. The store gets lots of customers from out of town who come in specifically for this rental package. I agree with the other posters--at this age, cost is everything.

Default in that case . . .

go ahead and buy if you get such a great deal, but i would stay away from the twin tips just because a true beginner ski is going to turn a bit more easily than a twin tip. they're also a bit fatter, not that she'll need them for pow, but it gives the little ones a bit more surface area to balance on. i'd give such a youngster every advantage. at two years old her bones and muscles are practically changing weekly, no reason to give her a ski she might have to fight against. by the time she's good enough to want to start skiing switch and doing some serious park stuff she'll have out grown 5 pairs of skis anyway!

good luck, see ya on the hill!
