2015 RS7 No Longer Giving Traffic Updates in Nav...
I bought my 2015 rs7 a couple of months ago. Amazing car, best I've ever owned by far. One little nit that is bothering me with it. Until a couple of weeks ago when I was using the nav, I would get live traffic updates, so the estimated time at arrival included traffic areas, notices on accidents, etc. Then a couple of weeks ago the updates stopped. I didn't get a notice that I had to subscribe to anything, but is this feature something that Audi charges extra for on their cars (even rs7)? In the bmw's I've owned this feature (which is safety and convenience imo) was included regardless of the model. I've been through setup and it looks ok, but I'm no longer getting the updates. Do you have to pay for Audi connect or something else to get this (which would be cheesy), just trying to figure this out.
Thanks

Yes, you have to pay for the monthly connectivity charge. I recently re-upped our Q7. It also lets you use Google Maps. We use the WiFI with the kids also, but the 2015 model uses a G2 internet connection so it's not great. Newer cars have faster LTE connections and great band width. You need a myaudi account. Make the account, you need your VIN number and then you can add the plan you want. Ours is $25 a month.

Thanks, that's what I'm going to have to do. I think just the traffic updates is only $5/month or so...not too bad. BMW traffic updates go with the car, not the owner. Not a big deal, the car is amazing.
