Another RS4 opinion please
Ok, so i recently got rid of my RS4 and am going crazy... so I am getting another one. I have two options cooking:
Audi CPO with 25k miles $56k
Non Audi Dealer with 6k miles for 56k factory warranty expires Jan 2012.
Private Seller with 5k miles for 56k factory warranty expires Jan 2012.
No brainier to get the one with the low miles, right?
I think I can get a slightly better finance rate on the CPO, then the dealer, then the person to person.

I saw you mentioned you got an engine clean under warranty. How did you pull that off?
Good luck

when does the CPO ones original warranty expire?
look at it this way...
the other 2 have ~18 months of warranty left, 22k miles or so at normal usage...
so you really have ~22k miles and 18 months
the CPO will have a balance of factory, probably the same as the other 2, then 2 yrs/50k miles additional...lets say you drive 30k in those 2 years...
so if the factory warranty left is ~ the same you get 3.5 years and 50k+ miles
vs 1.5 and 22k miles...big difference...
tough decision with the mileage difference 5k or 6k vs 25k...
bottom line, in 18 months:
either a car with ~28k miles and NO warranty
or a car with 47k miles and 2 years/50k of warranty...

totally
I am more concerned with resale, and since my understanding is that the CPO is not transferrable, I think the low miles is my best bet.
By the way, the carbon buildup was so bad on my RS4 that the car was at the dealer for 2 months. They eventually totally removed the engine from the car. The car kept throwing codes and was misfiring. Not only did audi pay for it, I got audi to pay me some cash for having a new car in service for two months.
