The dry grip on the 225's are far better...
When it's near freezing, then the 225's actually grip far better because the rubber compound is designed to stay pliable in the cold - both straight-line grip and cornering. The stock Perellis turn to glass when cold and are scary! I believe they even call it "glass point". I'm guessing the break-even temperature is somewhere in the 30-40 degree range. At around 50 degrees, the 255 Perellis need 6000rpm to launch, the 225 Dunlops only need 4000 rpm. So even at 50 degrees, the Perellis provide better (straight-line) dry traction. But on a race track or in the summer forgettaboudit - the 225 Dunlops have no business there.
