Yes, I also had confirmation previously...

and i do believe Audi isn't being forthcoming on these issues to avoid to many Canucks crossing the border and bringing back US vehicles...
the only way to really find out is to look up the part numbers on ETKA and see how different they are.

One more question...
Did you make it clear to them that you were a Canadian citizen hoping to import a US purchased vehicle? I only ask because I know manufacturers will warranty a US citizen bringing a US car to Canada (either to live or just passing through.) Either way, I would get something in writing, and confirmation that they will provide you with a recall clearance letter. I know American Honda will refuse them to any Canadian citizen buying a US car.

If I were a betting man...
...I'd say the rear bumper is likely the one you'll have to change; it is consistantly the sticking point for Audi/VWs between Canada and the US (R32, B5 A4 Avant, etc.)
