Still on my quest to get an RS4.. S4 is gone back to Audi.

I'm looked up the VIN (very early VIN) of a car I'm looking at and saw it said "Audi Corp. (TRNG)" next to it..

I assume that means Audi Training? If that's the case, what are the ramifications of this? Was it a car they did the Audi events in/did hot laps in? Should I be leery of it?

could be lots of stuff...yes, some sort of training..open area there.

"training" is a euphemism for "got the **** beat out of it before break-in".

it might be interesting to see the car, simply to look for any minor changes compared to the later production cars. 30 years from now, it might be worth a little extra to someone.

Per the service writer @ Audi.. it hasn't been in for any services (on record) to the dealer and has a service plan purchased..

It probably needs an oil change at least by now I'd think.
