Default B7 RS4 Abnormal Front Tire wear

My RS4 is due for new tires and the fronts are more worn on the inside of the tire to a point where you can see the metal wires within the tires. My question is, has anyone else have this experience with the RS4?

I'm thinking that it might be designed into the suspension where there is positive camber in the front in order to enhance handling. Just checking to see if I should get the alignment done.

Also, any tire recommendations? I live in Southern California.

Thanks!

not with the RS4 but I leased an 08 S4 and I made the dumb mistake of taking it autocrossing with new tires and it ate up my new tires from the inside (front tires only), now few months forward, just bought new tires for my RS4 BFG KDW's I like them they have plenty of thread, sticky, comfortable, and good looking. good luck.

Not something I :have seen posted on the forums. I'd get your alignment checked since you are due for tires.

Excessive inside tire wear could be caused by:
1- Too much negative camber and you are not cornering fast enough
2- Too much toe out and you are cruising too much
3- Both of the above

Have someone check your alignment.

I am in So Cal and running the Bridgestone RE-11. The stickiest tire this side of an R-compound and great in the rain as well. If you want other feedback, do a search on this forum as there have been many other tire discussions.

I'd also recommend Nitto Invo tires. Just ordered them after extensive research. They seem like the best set of performance summer tires for the money. They retail for ~$190/each - which is Hankook Ventus money - for Bridgestone/Michelin/Pirelli performance.
