Brake duct help please
Successfully changed my oil.
But I can't for the life of me get the brake ducts reattached to the bellypan. I suppose it would be easier if I discarded the rubber washers and could then line up the holes by sight, but I'm trying to get it back together right, if I can. Can others who have wrestled with the bellypan offer any tips?
Thanks

At little late, but...
...after you get them back on, use a silver sharpie to mark the inside of the ducts to indicate where the edge of the cover aligns. Next time will be much easier.

problem was the rubber washers...
Thanks for the tips. I think the biggest problem was the rubber washers, which were grabbing the screws at the neck just below the threads. They would just push the mating section of the duct out of the way, rather than engaging. Even working from the center of the car out, and trying to use leverage from the inside of the duct, it still gave me fits. My solution was to widen the inside diameter of the washers, so they wouldn't catch on the neck.
It'll still be a pain in the *** next time, though. I'm definitely considering cutting a port under the drain.
