The b8 S4 will be a V6 Twin Turbo of approx 335 hp. The b8 S4...
will be better balanced (front/rear), carry less weight (several hundred pounds), be much more refined. Introduction is about 18 months and you really don't want to buy this newly introduced auto based on teething problems. Keep in mind the RS4 is already "old technology" based on the b6, now going into it's 5th year, with the last 2 1/2 as the b7.
The RS4 is a fine car as many attest to and I'd give my left nut for one, but it's gone because of a previous committment.
I'M WEARING MY NOMEX FOR YA'LL!!!!

Yes, A5 is heavy. The Euro FWD b8 A4 is a hair over 3, 000#. Go from there.

CPO RS4
Remember that the B8 S4 is most likely going to be twin-turboed, and like all first year models, will have its share of troubles. So either get the RS4 now or wait until the second model year B8 S4. Also remember that there is no definitive launch date yet, and Audi brass has said that it might be a year or more (after the initial launch of the A4) until it makes its debut, and then a year after that for the second model year...it could be 3 or 4 years.
