Default The Case of the Disappearing Steering Thunk

So, from the day I picked up the car, I would get a thunk from the front-end when I would fully cut the wheel to one side or another and then roll forward or in reverse. I usually noticed this when pulling out of the driveway. I took the car into Riverside, and they told me I had some torn bushing, and replacements were ordered. I took the car in last Friday to have them installed. This time Johnny worked on my car (he's supposed to be the resident RS4 guru). He said the car didn't need bushings, the DRC wasn't leaking, and that the RS4 just does that.

Well, they must have done _something_ because its gone. Anyone else seen this?

Default Uh... how do you go from torn bushings to not torn? Get it re-inspected or look your self

It's pretty easy to see if they are torn

Default Have the front subframe bolts checked and tightened

It's a common problem.
