Default ECU upgrade/reprogram?!?

I got my summer tires put back on and one of the items on the receipt said, ECU Upgrade Reprogram or remap. Something of that sort. Was there an upgrade or something? Anyone have any ideas?

This has probably nothing to do with it, but I was driving with a gallardo spyder today and totally kept up with the car upto 150. He was gaining VERY little and I know for a fact we were both gunning it.

I just took mine in for service and they said there's an ECU recall to update the software. Apparently it makes sure the ECU maintains good connections with the rest of the car's systems. No, I don't know what that means.

I don't think it will enhance the car's performance. :-)

Good to hear about the Gallardo run and glad that you are OK, but staying with him to 150?

Default TSB is for a potential ECU checksum error

If you felt more power, it may have been to an ECU reset, which re-advances timing back to the factory defaults.
