Default First Impressions of GMG...

OK, got the exhaust put on today.
Nice sound coming out the back, however in the drivers seat not as loud as I thought it would be, in fact after having the H-Pipe/stock set up installed over the last few months, I have to say that in comparison its quite a bit less volume. Also the blips and rumble have almost gone. I have read posts in here that talk about the blips, but I have to strain to hear them. I guess those people may have not heard the H-Pipe.

Here are my thoughts:
1. I have been spoiled by the previously removed resonator in my car that made the sound resonate throughout the cabin (nice sound)
2. I am hoping that the sound will develop and get its "lungs" when the exahsut has settled in. I realize that this takes a week or two.

Other than that, I'm feeling like a bit of an *** spending $$$ and replacing a set up that I actually prefered to the one I have now!!

Anyone with similar experiences? Does the GMG get better with time?

Ray

1) yes and 2) doubtful. i've put catbacks on my last 10 cars and to me the way they sound day one is how they will always sound. i've never noticed the sound changing over a period of time.

What do you guys think of getting a custom shop to remove the resonators on the GMG?

Default I agree with Rutiger. My Tubi sounds incredible out of the box. I am sure the Tubi sound will

slighty change as it breaks in but not a drastic change.

But buying an exhaust and waiting month for it to break in to sound "ok" isn't right. All that means is that you have gotten used to the sound and have come to accept it.
