Default getting pads/rotors replaced free by claiming faulty warning light??

i just paid a ton of money ystrday to switch out my front pads ($775 for pads and labor--i know, i know i shouldve done it myself)...they told me i need new rotors too but i didnt switch those out yet since i didnt feel any wobbling under hard braking

i just remembered the issue with the brake pad warning light .... it never went off for me...so im going to try and get them to replace the rotors under warranty and also reimburse me for the original job....

does anyone have any advice or success stories?

Default I think a few people have been able to get this covered. There's no point in having the light

if it doesn't work.

Default i agree, but i need some help from the people that actually were successful...

i called the dealer back and they say they probably dont have the pads since they threw them out

i mentioned that they obviously got to the point where they were thin enough to damage my rotor and the light should have gone off....they didnt consider that a rock solid argument and claimed that even if i had new pads i would be able to damage the rotors if it was under extreme driving conditions (which i cannot prove against)

its probably going to be an uphill battle but its worth a shot...these guys are upstanding people so i dont expect them to be unreasonable, but thats probably an oximoron since most dealers will try their hardest to screw you regardless

Default start bitching and complaing about you bout a 70K car, and for them to try and nickel and dime

you over this stuff is ridiculous. Then explain to them that you will be taking your current and future business elsewhere, to a nicer, more understanding Audi Dealership.

Then figure out which car is ther service managers, and pee on his door handle.
