Good Morning RS4 owners!! I have 3 questions.
1. Has anyone come from a Stage III B6 A4? Can you give power comparisons?
2. I know you just received your car but, in your opinion, do you see yourself trying to modify this car beyond an exhaust and some rims? It seems this car is for the person who just wants to get in and drive with little to change. Maybe a better question would be do you think Audi hit the target on the head concerning driving characteristics and power balance?
3. Lastly, this is the first RS4 for our market. Do you think you'll be holding on to this car forever like those who hold their Ur Quattro's dear to their hearts or is this just going to be one of many great cars you'll buy and eventually let go? Thanks.

Probably one of many for me...
Maybe it's because I get bored with cars easily, but I'm hoping to see a new RS6 or an R8 sometime down the road..
But for my money today, I would not seriously consider anything else on the market.
I suppose it could have been faster and had more torque, that was one thing that bewildered me from the beginning. And I suppose it could have been lighter, that still bewilders me.
But in all reality I am not going to drive this car to it's potential and I appreciate its other strenths (Quattro, interior, exhaust, fuel economy... just kidding about that last one)...

Re: Good Morning RS4 owners!! I have 3 questions.
The RS4 is a monster. It may not have the gut wrenching power of the RS6, or the boost of a stage III bi-turbo S4 (Euro RS4), but it is very well balanced.
I find this car is happy going speeds that I personally don't want to drive. It is a truly stellar car. The suspension is fantastic, incredibly well set up. The brakes are as well.
The power band is extremely healthy.
I'm currently trying to decide if I'd rather keep this car than my 997S which has custom Revo mapping, full exhaust, and carbon brakes...
The RS4 is that good.
I would appreciate a full exhaust on this car, with mapping to match, from Revo... It would be more of an animal. The warantee would be out the window, however, and the motor is basically untested in the marketplace... not a fiscally responsible move for the hard core tuner.
I have an Allroad 2.7 with RS4 components, coil-overs, big brakes, ect... it may be faster than the RS4, but it is not as well balanced.

Re: Good Morning RS4 owners!! I have 3 questions.
1a) I've come from a heavily modified B5 S4, then a B6 S4, then a pair of B7 S4's (sedan and Avant).
1b) The B6/B7 S4's are far slower then the RS4. The fastest was the B5 S4 of the 5, but the RS4 is a better balance.
2a) Rims, exhaust, shifter, diet, and maybe ECU depending on how much power they can find. I suspect not a lot as the RS4 is pretty heavily tuned already. Without a hair-dryer to play boost games chips don't really gain that much.
2b) The car could use more power or a diet of a few hundred pounds.
3) It's a least and when it's over, it's over.
