you could replace the mirrors/covers...I think they use the same **** (left=fold, right=reverse)

Default Yep, and if you accidently hit them while walking by with a box
on your head, they crunch rather nicely. I found that out the hard way from experience and a rather large repair bill.

And they're plastic to boot. (An example of Audi cost-reducing de-contenting vs RS6 billet alum.)

Default It was made from plastic instead of aluminum for a weight savings apparently...
or at least that was the "spin" they put on it.

"Spin"... exactly. And the $500/car cost savings was "passed along to the customer."
